We conduct research and seek inspiration from many avenues to craft unique concepts for each client well in advance. We value collaboration – we cannot do our jobs without first discovering how you imagine your shots will appear. We have several valued partners with whom we collaborate for lighting, hair, makeup, and styling. We thrive on creating a cohesive plan and communicating it to every stakeholder of the shoot. Technical details: Our favorite cameras are Canon 6D Mark II Full Frame and Canon 90D. Lenses that we love are Canon L Series Professional Lenses. Our favorite focal lengths are 24, 35, 50, and 85mm.

Logistics are everything. When we are on location, we capitalize on the existing mood and structure of the background. Shots within local buildings can provide kitsch, nostalgic, or contemporary feelings. Shots in nature can impart ethereal, mysterious, and whimsical emotions. When deciding on a location, we consider the background. We scout the location to discover the best color palate for wardrobe, the setting, necessary props, inspiration for posing, and more. We are fans of shooting at the golden hour (near sunrise and sunset) but always take advantage of natural lighting, natural shadows, and timing. When shooting outdoors, we frequently request an essential shot list to ensure we capture your must haves.
